Robert Kloss Memorial Scholarship
On Thursday, February 19, 2009, Robert S. Kloss unfortunately passed away at Bristol Hospital. He was a member of St. Matthew Church, Forestville, and President of the Forestville Girls Softball Little League Program. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing golf, and coaching for both the Connecticut Titans Softball Organization and the St. Matthew School Basketball team.
Bob’s wife, Shelly, and his two daughters, Miley and Mallory, remain involved with the Connecticut Titans Softball Organization, appreciating his memory. Bob dedicated his time to a number of student athletes in our program and the Titans Organization as a whole suffered a tragic, unexpected loss of an irreplaceable coach, friend, father and mentor. He showed selfless commitment and support to the entire Connecticut Titans Program.
Annually, the Connecticut Titans Organization offers a scholarship in honor of Robert Kloss. Nominees must be current CT Titan players who are high school seniors committed to a higher education program or first year college students. This scholarship was created to support education and is awarded to student athletes who exemplify characteristics and achievements aligning with our organization’s mission; pursuing academic excellence, demonstrating and promoting the highest standards of integrity, leadership, sportsmanship, ethical behavior and a true respect for fairness and diversity.
